Lyric Theatre Alumni Join the Singers to Celebrate Company’s 50th Anniversary

anniversary_concert_colorWe are thrilled to announce that The Lyric Theatre, one of Montreal’s longest standing community theatre companies, will celebrate its 50th Anniversary by presenting a special one night only concert featuring The Lyric Theatre Singers and The Lyric Theatre Alumni Chorus on Saturday, October 17th at Concordia’s Oscar Peterson Concert Hall. This exciting musical celebration will include highlights from the Singers’ recent June concert as well as special selections performed by the Alumni Chorus comprised of over 85 (and counting!) performers who were cast members in Lyric stage productions or members of the Lyric Singers over the years.

Musical directors Bob Bachelor and Chris Barillaro, along with choreographer Mary Sarli and co-stage director Cathy Burns, have selected the perfect musical theatre gems to create one spotlight-stealing moment after another. The evening promises beautiful music, an abundance of wonderful memories and, dare we say, goosebumps for both audience members and performers alike!

Join us on October 17th as we celebrate the people who helped to nurture and shape our much-loved community organization – one that exists to give aspiring performers, technicians, artists, and managers the opportunity to develop their skills within an established arts organization alongside seasoned professionals. Every person who took part in a Lyric production since 1965 has contributed to its success. Their commitment and their love of Lyric is why we are still thriving today. Something to sing about, don’t you think?

See you at the show!
