Auditions for The Lyric Theatre Singers

Alumni_in_concert_low_res

Musical Director Bob Bachelor is seeking singers in all sections, particularly Bass/Baritones, to add to the ensemble for 2010-2011. Don’t pass up your chance to join the ranks of Montreal’s award-winning Broadway choir currently celebrating their 20th anniversary. If you want to work with a group of multi-talented individuals who are passionate about performing to the maximum of their abilities and if you want to be part of a unique and tremendously dynamic choir that pushes the envelope in terms of what choral groups are expected to do, then you must call or write us today!

We are looking for singers with good stage presence, reading music is not necessary although it is a welcome asset. Bilingual rehearsals take place every Monday evening and two Wednesdays a month from 7:30pm to 10:00pm in Montreal West . All you need is a good ear, a strong voice, the ability to memorize your music, commit to the rehearsal schedule and LOVE to sing! The annual fee for each choir member is $170.00.

What you need to audition:

  • Prepare a song, preferably from the Broadway repertoire.
  • Bring the piano sheet music with you; a pianist will be available to accompany you.
  • Please do not bring taped music!
  • The music must be in the correct key because transposition will not be possible.
  • Bring a photo, it will help us remember you, the size or style is not important.
  • Bring a copy of your artistic CV with your singing experience, in choirs or musicals.

For additional information and to book your audition, please contact Hélène Charbonneau 514-626-5783 or write This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
